1. ISO management system

In order to implement our Corporate Policy, we have established a system for managing ISO9001 as part of our operational activities. To achieve this, we have created the following basic policies.

  1. We will satisfy customer requirements, continually improve our management system, enhance our technical capabilities, and provide reliable products and services.
  2. By creating local jobs and complying with laws, regulations, agreements, and our own self-regulations, we aim to be a company that is needed by everyone involved.
  3. In order to realize our company policy, we will set clear goals and plans for achieving them based on our business management plan.
  4. We constantly educate our human resources, maximize the potential of each employee, and respond to customer needs.
  5. We thoroughly promote 5S, which can be said to be the basis of the manufacturing industry, and provide products and services that satisfy our customers.

2. Safety initiatives

We prioritize the safety and health of our employees and partner companies. To ensure this, we have set up a dedicated department responsible for safety and health. Additionally, we have formed a safety and health committee and council. Both our Hakodate Shipyard and Muroran Manufacturer are implementing company-wide initiatives to promote safety and health.
After conducting on-site risk assessments and confirming work procedures, we perform safety patrols and implement workplace risk reduction activities to achieve zero risk instead of zero accidents.

3. Hiring and training of human resources / Creating a comfortable work environment that emphasizes diversity

Human resources are the most important management foundation for our company, and we strive to recruit and develop the human resources who will lead the future, and to smoothly pass on technology and skills.
We actively collaborate with each educational institution for recruitment and strive to create local employment.
Our training system is conducted systematically by role, purpose, and department, and we aim to provide a wide range of detailed training, including the use of the brother system.
In addition, we aim to create an environment where everyone can work comfortably and with peace of mind, and we are focusing on enriching our facilities and providing welfare benefits.

4. Respect for human rights

We respect the fundamental human rights of all stakeholders based on the International Bill of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration. We value the diversity of all people involved with our company and strive to eliminate discrimination.

5. Eradication of harassment

Our company will never tolerate harassment that unfairly harms the personal dignity of employees or those working at partner companies, and will eradicate it as a form of harassment that prevents the effective use of one's inherent abilities and impedes workplace order and business execution. We are making every effort to make this a priority issue for our company. We will continue to aim to create a work environment where everyone can feel comfortable working in and where it is easy to seek advice.

 

6. Towards a peaceful society

Our company supports efforts towards realizing a sustainable society by contributing to the defence of surrounding maritime areas and the safety of maritime traffic through regular inspections and repair services for vessels such as the Maritime Self-Defense Force's escort ships and the Coast Guard's patrol boats.

 

7. Connection with the local community

To foster closer relationships with the local community, we organize ship-launching viewing events and offer factory tours to schools and companies upon request.

If a major disaster happens in the Hakodate City area, our company will collaborate with the city to provide smooth support for disaster victims and ensure swift emergency recovery."Agreement on emergency recovery, etc. in the event of a disaster"has been concluded.

We also actively support local events such as the Hakodate Marathon and Hakodate Port Festival, strengthening our ties with the local community.
