40,000DWT bulk carrier
"HIGH BULK 40SE (Super Eco)"

This series is the latest handy-sized bulk carrier with a carrying capacity of 40,000 tons, which was improved and developed jointly with Namura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., inheriting the tradition of the previous model that built the "Hakodate brand", which is highly acclaimed around the world.

Features

  1. While inheriting the features of the previous model, it has significantly improved environmental performance when using conventional fuel.
  2. Equipped with "Namura flow Control Fin (NCF)", "Rudder Fin" and other accessories developed by Namura Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., we aim to improve propulsion performance and reduce fuel consumption. Furthermore, by optimizing the hull shape, we have achieved a dramatic improvement in environmental performance.
  3. This is a ship that has preemptively achieved EEDI Phase 2025, which is mandatory for contracts made after January 1, 1.
  4. Although it has five semi-box cargo holds and a wide cargo hold, its overall length has been shortened to allow it to enter ports with a 5m limit.
  5. Fixed and tiltable stanchions can be optionally equipped on the upper deck to stack logs (wood) on the deck.
  6. Equipped with four deck cranes on the hull centerline between each hatch cover, cargo handling operations are possible even in ports where cargo handling facilities are not available.
  7. The main engine and power generation engine comply with NOx emission regulations (Tier III) under the Marine Pollution Prevention Convention (MARPOL Convention) by adopting NOx emission reduction devices.
  8. Equipped with a ballast water treatment system, we strive to protect the marine environment by controlling the quality of ballast water.
  9. We have obtained the IHM Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM Inventory), which is required by the Ship Recycling Convention.
